Perfect for pairing with our DIY Gigantic Bubble Solution, these bubble wands are super easy to put together, and the designs are limitless! Use supplies from around the house and garage – get creative with your bubble wands. There are three different designs shown below, but use them for inspiration and create your own personalized bubble wand!
Let’s Do This:
- Wooden dowels
- Screw-in circular hooks/connectors (see picture below)
- String, fabric, yarn, etc.
- Washer – or anything that can be used as a “weight” for the single bubble maker
For Multiple Bubble Wand:
- Wooden dowel(s)
- Screw-in hooks
- Plastic bracelets
- Fabric loops (used for weaving crafts)
Put the bubble wands together as shown in the pictures. They are simple to construct and YOU be the designer on how big you want to make the loops.
I found that knotting the washer in place at the bottom of the bubble loop worked best – sometimes the washer would break the tension of the bubble solution.
The multiple bubble-making wands are super fun, and can be made as a “swinging” wand or suspended between two handles. Just use the loops and create a Larks Head Knot with the fabric loops to join the bracelets. Attach one or both ends to a handle, and VOILE! Pretty awesome bubble wand!
And one final note on technique, once you are ready to use your bubble wand: try “scooping” the air to create the bubble instead of pulling it sideways through the air. It seems that scooping creates the biggest bubbles and the tension in the solution holds longer. Just sayin’……that’s our experience. You try it out for yourself and let us know what works for YOUR bubble masters!
