Handprint Art Tote Bags Tutorial

April 29, 2018 By: CyndiJ1 Comment

Handprint Art

These whimsical little handprint art tote bags speak for themselves – they are magical, one-of-a-kind projects that can be completed SO quickly….and there is nothing that makes a happier mess than little painted hands and feet!  There are so many design possibilities with handprints and footprints – use your imagination (or Google it….you now the drill).

There really isn’t a need for instructions….but I will share my link for bags and a few fun photos to inspire designs of your own.

Let’s Do This!

Grab your blank canvas bags:

Get some paper plates for the paint.

I like to use acrylic paints because they come in unlimited colors, they have great coverage on canvas, and they clean up relatively easy!  Win-win-win!!

I love to create these designs in the KITCHEN….close to a sink full of soapy water.  You find what works for you.

After you get the handprints on the bag – let them dry.  Then…..go back in with permanent markers or more paint on a brush….and add the details.

Finally, you can add that final PERSONAL touches….maybe rhinestones, maybe sequins, maybe ribbons…..and maybe a signature of the little artist.

I just can’t get enough of these little handprint creations.  They make beautiful birthday, Mother’s Day, or ANY DAY gifts.  Remember…..those little hands grow very quickly.  Keep them imprinted on your heart…..and on a bag.  🙂

So cute! I can’t wait until my little guy is old enough to make me these. Thanks so much for sharing. 😉
