These whimsical tiny flower bobby pins are so fun to create and they make perfect little gifts or party favors. You can find endless flower options for these Flower Bobby Pins at your local craft store and they are SO quick and easy to make with little or no crafting experience! If you can handle a glue bottle or hot glue gun – you’ve got the expertise to create these magical little hairpins.
Let’s Do This!
Supplies:
- Bobby pins – the sturdier, the better
- Various flowers – lightweight flowers are the best options
- Glue gun or craft glue
- Super glue (totally optional, but highly recommended)
- Tiny Terra Cotta Pots or any little flower holder
- Craft moss or filler
Attach the flowers to bobby pins using glue. I like to take a little snippet of a leaf and use it as a “patch” through the rounded end of the bobby pin, and glue each end to the flower. Whether you’re using a glue gun or craft glue, let it dry thoroughly. Once you know it is dry, put a drop of super glue on each end of the “patch” to secure the pin in place.
Or, if you buy ribbon rosettes (super easy), the bobby pins slip right through the back and you just need a drop of glue:
Once you get the pins made, place them in a cute little holder. I love the little terra cotta pots with moss because the pots can be personalized with tags, paint, or stencils….and the moss beautifully holds the pins in place. There are so many options for holders – tiny vases, seed packets, ribbons – use your imagination and find a unique option for your whimsical little hair accessories.
These sweet Tiny Potted Flower Bobby Pins make perfect pairings for birthday parties, wedding showers, crafting dates…..or anytime you need a special, unique gift. The supplies are super easy to find and the hairpins are simple to make. The finished product is so cute…..you’ll want to keep a few on hand for last-minute surprise gifts.
